Mattress collection when a new bed arrives

A mattress takes up a surprising amount of space when it is no longer on the bed. Tell us the mattress size and how many need collecting. Include the base, frame and headboard if they are part of the job. A quote for a mattress alone does not automatically include the complete bed.

Keep your mattress dry before collection

Leave the mattress indoors or somewhere dry until the collection arrangements are confirmed. A wet mattress can be heavier and harder to handle. Explain any contamination or pest concern before booking so the team can assess whether the item is suitable for the service. Do not place it in a shared close or on a pavement without an agreed collection plan.

Bed removal and access details

For an upstairs bedroom, note the floor, stair layout and distance to the vehicle. If a frame needs dismantling, tell us whether it is metal, timber or a storage bed with moving parts. Empty under-bed drawers and remove bedding and personal items. Photograph the complete bed before dismantling anything, and confirm which parts are being taken so a new frame or retained headboard is not confused with the collection.
