Rubble & soil removal in Central Scotland

Heavy waste is about weight as well as space

Soil, bricks and concrete can reach a vehicle’s carrying limit long before it looks full. Give the dimensions of the pile, the approximate number of bags and the type of material. Photographs should show the complete quantity. A standard mixed-household load price should not be used to estimate a dense rubble collection.

Describe the material accurately

Tell us whether soil includes turf, roots, stones or other debris. For building rubble, list concrete, brick, tiles and any other materials separately. Unknown contamination, asbestos or mixed chemicals are outside an ordinary rubble enquiry. Leave uncertain material undisturbed and ask for the appropriate specialist advice before handling or adding it to a general waste pile.

Agree a sensible loading method

Do not make bags so heavy that they cannot be safely handled. Explain whether the material is loose, in small bags or in a bulk bag, and whether the vehicle can reach the collection point. A long carry through a garden changes the work involved. For a larger excavation or ongoing renovation, compare a suitable skip or another specialist collection method with a hand-loaded uplift before deciding.
